Overview

NORTRYL NT Tablet is a combination of Pregabalin and Nortriptyline used to treat neuropathic (nerve) pain. It helps relieve pain by calming damaged or overactive nerves and reducing the transmission of pain signals to the brain.

Common side effects include nausea, dry mouth, constipation, dizziness, drowsiness, difficulty urinating, weight gain, weakness, and confusion. Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery if you feel sleepy or dizzy. Contact your doctor if these side effects persist or become severe.

You can take NORTRYL NT Tablet with or without food. Take it at the same time every day for the best results. Never take more than the prescribed dose, and do not stop taking it suddenly without your doctor’s advice, as withdrawal symptoms such as headache, mood changes, irritability, or insomnia may occur.

This medicine is not recommended if you are allergic to Pregabalin, Nortriptyline, or any of its ingredients. Inform your doctor if you have kidney, liver, or heart disease. It is generally not recommended for children under 18 years of age. Consult your doctor before using this medicine during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

How Pregabalin Works

• Binds to calcium channels: Pregabalin attaches to the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system.

How Nortriptyline Works

• Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy: Relieves burning pain, numbness, and tingling in the hands and feet caused by diabetes.
• Post-Herpetic Neuralgia: Helps reduce persistent nerve pain that continues after shingles has healed.
• Fibromyalgia: Manages widespread muscle pain, stiffness, fatigue, and tenderness.
• Spinal Cord Injury Pain: Helps control chronic nerve pain resulting from spinal cord injury or trauma.

Since NORTRYL NT Tablet combines two medicines, side effects may occur while your body adjusts to the treatment.

Common Side Effects

• Drowsiness and Dizziness: Feeling sleepy, lightheaded, or unsteady, especially when standing quickly.
• Dry Mouth and Dry Eyes: Reduced saliva and tear production may cause discomfort while eating or wearing contact lenses.
• Constipation: Slower bowel movements caused by the effects of Nortriptyline.
• Weight Gain: Increased appetite or fluid retention may contribute to weight gain.
• Blurred Vision: Temporary difficulty focusing or seeing clearly.

Serious Side Effects

Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of the following:
